My biography




 

Hello everybody! My name is Natalia Ayala Abarca, I was born in Buenos aires, Argentina, but since I was 5 month old I have lived in Chile. When I was little I lived in Santiago, Chile, and I went to Saint Rose School up to 6th grade, since 7th grade to higth school I went to Liceo Carmela Carvajal de Prat.

In 2006, I started to study visual arts at Universidad de Chile, but in my second year I got pregnant, I had to work very hard and dropped out the university. I think my priorities changed drastically and I realized that this was not the path for my.

Today I live in Graneros, a city near to Rancagua, in the sixth region, with my four crazy, funny and wonderful children and I am currently in my third year of forest engineering, a career that I love.

I like watching series or movies at home or sometimes going to the cinema, riding a bike, but what I like to do the most is travel, see new places, sleep, relax and just spend time with my family.

My dream job..

  Hello everybody! Today I am going to talk about my dream job in the future. First of all, today I am in 3rd year of forestry engineering, but I would love to be able to continue studing later, as a master or PhD. That would be great! Because my dream job needs a lot of knowledge to do research on the forest of Chile and the world, study innovate ways to mitigate climate change, discover how to protect native forest and preserve endangered plant communities as well as the fauna associated with them. I would like to work in a research center located in the south of Chile, somewhere remote, full of nature and beautiful landscapes, where the reserch team and I would have to travel in a van to carry our work instruments and in some places of difficult access, such as unexplored islands, we would have to use a small boat. Time travel....To the past or future?

If I had the opportunity to travel back in time, I would love to visit many places and see my relatives when they were young.I would love to see my granny again, meet her in her youth, my mom too. But if we have to talk about a definite place and time, I would love to have been able to see live the Woodstock festival, considered the most important festival in the history of rock. So I would like to travel between August 15 and 18, 1969, to an alfalfa field in Bethel, 100 km southwest of Woodstock, New York, which was where it was originally going to be held, but the neighbors objected at the last minute. The festival was contemplated for about 200 thousand people, but it is estimated that there were about 500 thousand or even more, which caused a huge chaos, but it is said that it had a unique magic and mystique, since the participants were young people who promulgated the slogan "peace and love", mainly against the Vietnam War that was being fought in those years. My favourite piece of technology

Nowadays there are many technological objects that help us in our daily lives and that are very cool. But the one I like the most is the photographic camera. I love it because with it I can capture important moments of life, remember our childhood, vacations or celebrations, but the photos I like the most are those of everyday moments, without posing, just to remember the important people in life. I use it daily, for the ease of having a camera on the phone, it is also useful in studies, to take records of field trips, animal or plant species of interest, or take pictures of classes when I can not write the material on the blackboard. But the one I would recommend the most for taking better quality photos are SLR cameras, because with them you can set several options, such as lens speed, aperture, focus, etc., so I can choose how I want my photo to look and I can give myself more freedom to express artistically with photography.
